interesting story that happened to my mom on Tuesday

she was on I-5 heading back home from visiting a client who lived north of mount Vernon when she saw several state patrolmen in her rear view mirror, their lights blazing. she pulled over and began to drive more carefully expecting a lagre accident ahead.

a little further down the freeway it happened again but by this time there were more cars on the road and some could not pull over and just continued driving. but on her whole drive home she saw no sign of an accident

when she was at home she looked on the internet to see if there was any info and found nothing.

then later that night she was on the internet again and saw the news.

those outside of washingnton may not haave heard about it but a mentaly disterbed man who says that god told him to do it had gone on a sthooting spree north of mount vernon killing six people at random who were in his way and injuring several more before he drove himself to the police station and turned himself in.

then my mom saw a picture of the car he had stolen from one of his victims and realized he had driving right past her.

then as she put it, "God put a hand on my shoulder and said it was not your time i know your time so don't worry"

and mom had been thinking a lot about the logistics of what would happen if she were to die suddenly

since most the people who live in the small town this happened in work in Mount Vernon it has greatly affected the community including the woman who my mom had been visiting (she had know on e of the victims)

please pray for the families of those involved

Smee: i think i just had an apostrophe
Hook: i think you mean an epiphany
Smee: lightning has just struck my brain
Hook: well that must have hurt

things are well and look to be even better soon. i think i am on the edge of an epiphany i don't know the details of it yet because i don't even know what has truly been bothering me. i do know i haven't been praying enough and that is at least half the issue but i feel like things will work themselves out soon.

i finally read my novel and man was it terrible. the funny thing is i think after reading it my desire to write became even stronger

figure sculpting is going well as is my garden (your right Erica pigeons are evil. the only ones in all seattle and they keep stomping on my lettuce- i am considering the purchase of a be be gun)

woo hoo!

I have over 40,000 words written! i am so excited. and nervous.
i am afraid i will run out of story before 50,000  words
or worse have more to write after i do reach 50,000 words and have to rush to get the story finished

in other news i planted a small garden on my balcony today.
i know it is a bit late in the season but i usually kill everything anyways.
i am so exited i can't wait for the 2 weeks the bags of seeds said it would take for them to germinate.
hopefully the neighbor squirrels won't eat everything.

my brother Ben started his summer research today, so i should be seeing a lot of him this summer
keep my roommate Rachel in your prayers as she and the team she is leading left for a 6week service project to India last week

thats about it

number of words written: 40,064
minimal number of words left to write: 9,936
days left to write (no more writing today): 7
